Wednesday and Thursday, with an extension to midnight Friday and Saturday, plus 10 a.m. As for the drinks, look for a new iPourIt system to take over the heavy lifting for customers looking to drink rather seamlessly. Basically, guests have to turn in a form of ID and a credit card, and in exchange get a wristband filled with a prepaid amount of credits to use at the requisite machine. Bring the band up to the sensor point, pick your drink and number of ounces to enjoy, and wait for the pour. Partners Gina Tarber (Cicerone-trained) and Kristian Krieger should be on hand to help with any inevitable hiccups.

Brewport Tap House & Kitchen

The beers here are brewed and poured in cask, which means robust flavors and little-to-no carbonation (it's a little odd to get used to, but quite tasty). If you’ve spent much time in the South Bay, you’ve probably driven past LA Ale Works' taproom in Hawthorne, a few blocks from SpaceX (and right across the street from another solid brewery, Common Space). Ale Works is a good spot to host a party when you don't know how many people will show up. The massive warehouse tends to be full of 30-somethings gathered to discuss cryptocurrency or watch sports, and there's a great collection of IPAs, lagers, stouts, and sours to carry everyone through the night.

The industrial space has a large interior with plenty of TVs, plus a giant wrap-around front patio ideal for getting a little red on a Saturday afternoon. They’ve got around 12 different beers on tap ranging from Belgian-style pilsners to a sour ale, but we tend to go for the Bigger Dreams, a hazy IPA with heavy notes of tangerine and grapefruit. If you’re looking for a quick drink before dinner, Creature Comforts is a great low-key option. Paperback Brewing has very good beer, especially if you’re a hazy IPA connoisseur, but the biggest reason we love this Glendale brewery is its space.

One of the smallest breweries on this guide, Frogtown feels a bit like you’re hanging out in your friend’s garage, except there’s an industrial brewing set-up instead of an unused homebrew kit. The Lites Out pilsner is ideal if you’re there in the daytime (it’s only 4.1% ABV), but there's also a good selection of hazy and milkshake IPAs if you want to kick things up a bit in the evening. There's usually a food truck on-site most evenings, but you can also bring in food—on weekend afternoons our move is to walk over to Wax Paper right up the block for a post-pilsner sandwich.

There’s no food inside, but there’s usually vendors selling pizza, tacos, and burgers out front. When it’s warm,  take advantage of outdoor picnic tables spread across the astroturf lawn. They also have a smaller tasting room in Culver City right next to the metro.

El Segundo’s Newest Craft Beer Bar Lets You Pour Your Own Pints

Patrons access their choices by tapping their wristband on a logo'd sensor on the tablet for each tap. They are given a description of the product, and can then choose how many ounces they'd like - from one ounce to a full pour. Flight trays are available for both beer and wine, so guests can sample new on tap offerings. The outside beer garden features picnic tables, umbrellas, and games and can host a party of 75. Any place that sells marked-up bottles and bowls of olives can call itself a wine bar.

Benny Boy Brewing

Brewport Tap House is a social dining experience featuring a self-pour concept and a GREAT selection of craft beer, wine, other adult beverages and great food. Brewport's state of the art technology enables patrons to embark on their culinary adventure with the assistance of experienced staff and certified beer experts. Upon their arrival, guests will be greeted by the Brewport Flight Crew, who will inform them of the multitude of offerings and options, such as carry out from the retail bottle shop. After checking in with a valid I.D., Drivers License and Credit Card, guests are issued swatch like wristbands, pre-loaded with credits that are used to pour the extensive array of selections available on any given day. Opening in late March, Brewport will offer 60 full taps for everything from root beer to red wine to kombucha to craft beer, plus a full kitchen for food under chef/partner Rob Rice. Look for casual pub fare and baguette sandwiches down the line.

There’s a pleasant patio out front where you might spot a couple of toddlers with their tattooed parents. But the real scene is inside the garage, which has a long bar, a disco ball, and (on weekends) a DJ spinning vinyl. Most people come here to sip housemade IPAs and snack on masa-battered chicken wings during the day, but on Friday and Saturday nights, the dance floor is packed until 1am. Head there the next time you’re looking for a place to drink dry-hopped saisons and meet someone with a color-coordinated tote bag. With drink in hand, they can mill around, enjoy Brewport's front and back patios, finding plenty of indoor seating to socialize with old friends and meet new ones.

Expect nearly 20 beers on the menu including crisp rice lagers, fruity sours, and a tasty California IPA humorously called the Nose Job. You’ll also usually find some kind of entertainment happening at any given time, from ping pong to pool to the occasional live DJ set. There's a solid menu of bar snacks menu with things like burgers and wings to fish sandwiches and kimchi, all way better than they need to be. This is where you should be drinking hoppy pilsners before a Dodgers game. Originally from Georgia, Creature Comforts is a Downtown brewery in the same complex as Rossoblu and Dama.

Don’t miss the top-selling Dog Ate My Homework—a purplish, juicy blackberry saison—or Popfuji, a malty, refreshing unfiltered pilsner. If you think you took a wrong turn and ended up in a warehouse yard, you’re at the right place. Boomtown Brewing is the most fun thing happening on this extra-industrial block of the Arts District, and somewhere you can fit a lot of people on a weekend afternoon. Between an alleyway and two giant warehouses, there’s plenty of seating.

With its vast array of creatively labeled craft beers prominently displayed, Brewport provides a colorful and unique visual experience. The giant patio is filled with wooden benches, tree stumps, and metal structures, achieving something that feels like a grown-up summer camp where people overuse the word "dude." Plus, food pop-ups operate most nights. LA's massive craft beer wave of the 2010s has long subsided, but there are still plenty of great places to drink a local pint.

The already craft beer-soaked South Bay is getting another contender soon, this one called Brewport Tap House. The El Segundo option will actually take over the former downtown post office, with plans for a pour-it-yourself setup little seen in Los Angeles. The casual El Segundo space should come online in a few weeks. Expect the requisite brick and wood, with a vague aviation theme throughout. This isn’t likely to be quite the beauty of Downtown’s new Mikkeller, but something solid for the South Bay nonetheless. When it opens, expect Brewport Tap House to keep hours from 11 a.m.

Which might also explain why this place is perpetually packed. Housed in a former car service station, All Season has indoor and outdoor seating, a row of skeeball machines, and a Chicas Taco window out back, so you don’t have to wander far for food. We also like that the short menu of draft beers is big on IPAs, including the citrusy Figure 8 that you can order by the pitcher.

Open since late 2023, Solarc is one of the newer breweries in LA—and one of the most unique, too. Rather than a typical line-up of IPAs and lagers, this Glassell Park brewery specializes in gruit, a medieval style of beer made with bittering agents other than hops. At Solarc, that means beer flavored with things like wormwood, black tea, and turmeric, and fermented with wild yeasts collected around Los Angeles.

But hanging out in an LA brewery means more than just drinking good beer—it's about having a good time, too. From tiny tap rooms in the South Bay to sprawling warehouses in DTLA filled with games and dance floors, these are the 15 best breweries in LA. At Brewport Tap House, we’ve taken the old adage, “variety is the spice of life”, and applied it to craft beer! A unique twist to the gastropub concept, at Brewport you’re in the pilot's seat as you experience our self-pour craft beers, ciders, seltzers, kombucha and more. With over 60 self-pour craft beers, wine, seltzer and kombucha, it's a unique twist to the classic gastropub. All Season Brewing in Mid-Wilshire is geographically central, making it an easy place to bring together people who live on opposite sides of the city.

Don’t miss the top-selling Dog Ate My Homework—a purplish, juicy blackberry saison—or Popfuji, a malty, refreshing unfiltered pilsner. Boomtown Brewing is the most fun thing happening on this extra-industrial block of the Arts District, and somewhere you can fit a lot of people on a weekend afternoon. Between an alleyway and two giant warehouses, there’s plenty of seating.

There are plenty of sprawling warehouse breweries in LA, but Browuerji West in San Pedro beats them all in square footage. This brewery on the docks of Port of LA occupies a WWII-era naval warehouse so large it could host a regulation flag football game. Aside from the huge indoor taproom, there’s a big outdoor courtyard with food trucks and live music on weekends, and a marketplace selling local crafts across the street.

Patrons access their choices by tapping their wristband on a logo'd sensor on the tablet for each tap. They are given a description of the product, and can then choose how many ounces they'd like - from one ounce to a full pour. Even during peak weekend hours, you’ll always be able to find an open table, and when you get hungry, you’ll find a food truck or two parked out front. This all-Belgian brewery in Torrance was one of the first places on the West Coast to kick off the hazy/juicy IPA craze, with every brewery from here to Seattle following suit. Expect a rotating roster of food trucks in the evening, and a large selection of cans available to-go. Homage Brewing is for people who love good beer but also want to dance.

A Comprehensive Guide to Staircase Remodeling and Design

A matching console table, aligned with the treads, and a brass-and-marble lamp anchor the space by Emma Beryl. The white-painted risers and balusters expertly contrast the dark wood treads and hand railing. Classic plaid speaks to the traditional style of the staircase design while adding a fun dose of personality.

Offset a simple staircase with a bold wall colour

If space allows, incorporate even more interest, like in this stairwell where blue and white vases tie together the foyer. In her previous home, Shannon McLaren of California’s Praire needed to redesign her floating stairs to ensure they were up to code and kid-friendly. Because she loved the airy effect of the original setup, she chose to pay homage to that design and worked thick, see-through glass spindles into the mix. McLaren finished off the staircase with a custom walnut railing and green Missoni carpeting. “Adding a bright cocktail bar allowed us to give function and fun to the space without making any structural changes,” Elias shares.

DIY Runner

This particular design uses a black rug with minimal patterns that complements the color of the rails on the staircase. This is a brilliant way to breathe life into your old staircase without breaking the bank. With a little design and creativity, you can easily turn regular wood into a luxurious masterpiece that you will be proud of. This particular design features wooden treads and glass that curve their way up the building, providing a unique luxurious touch. There's no doubt the primary function of a staircase is to give you access to different floors around your house. However, staircases in modern design also double up as decorative structures that'll elevate the standards and appeal of your house, according to Art Boulle.

Stairs Painted Black

The brown wooden color introduces some warmth to the design while the clean straight balustrade cables bring in a modern minimalist twist. Using marble gives you the unique opportunity of adding style and luxury that will stand the ultimate test of time. Serving as her design laboratory, decorator Ceara Donnelly's 18th-century Charleston home comes alive with clever color and bold patterns. Tumbling-block flooring by decorative artist Stephanie Poe dresses up the entry stairway. A platinum lustre Christopher Spitzmiller lamp sits atop japanned library steps from Mario Buatta’s estate. "If you want to keep the budget down [on a stairway update], then you could paint the stairs a beautiful color, and then add a beautiful runner," recommends Riddle.

Custom Staircase Feature

Don’t be afraid to stack art up and down a wall or tuck it into unusual spaces. Art lines this entire staircase wall, adding pops of color to the subdued neutral space. To get the look, try mixing and matching your favorite bold prints in subtle wood frames. A baluster, also called a spindle, is part of a staircase’s support system. If there’s one upside-down baluster on your historic staircase, you can blame superstition. The thickness of a granite staircase can vary depending on several factors, including the specific application, design preferences, and structural requirements.

Infuse your home with warmth and character by incorporating dual-toned granite with a textured finish. These natural-looking stairs add a touch of charm to the house while blending seamlessly with the surrounding aesthetics. A dramatic brown granite paired with a white marble base is a unique choice that exudes old-school opulence. It's common for modern home designs to have streamlined and clean lines as a design detail.

Consider this simple do-it-yourself staircase design idea to save money on a costly stair runner. Painting a faux runner down the center of your stairs will create the same look as a store-bought rug but will cost just a fraction of the price. This statement-making staircase wraps around one end of this light-filled home. Its simple design doesn't draw attention away from the soaring ceilings and plentiful windows. A geometric-pattern stair runner boosts both the comfort and style of this staircase. In addition to providing softness and warmth underfoot, the runner also prevents walkers from slipping on the potentially slick wooden treads.

The open riser design also helps to maximize natural light throughout the space. This staircase by Dynamic Property Services, Inc. features a floating design with glass panels and wood treads, creating a modern and elegant look. The use of lighting under each step adds an extra layer of interest and safety. While your staircase serves an obvious function by connecting the levels in your home, it also plays an important role in its design. Often, the staircase is the main character of a chic entryway (meaning it's first thing guests see) or it's centrally located in an open-concept interior.

Stenciled Stair Risers

With a minimal and understated look, this floating staircase and landing design evokes a less-is-more philosophy and architectural style. Architect Carlo Gaspari converted a former knife-making workshop in Abruzzo, Italy, into a sophisticated residential property. The design pays homage to the home’s name—Casa del Ferro (the Iron House)—by using iron within the interior design, such as the staircase. Why opt for just one piece of art when you can create an eye-catching display? “We used the large painting upstairs to help draw the eye up into the larger space and also complement the chandelier,” Andrews explains.

There are plenty of possibilities that can turn your home’s staircase into a functional work of art. Use these staircases as inspiration for safety enhancements, space-saving solutions, or ways to add a touch of modern elegance to your living space. These elegant structures, whether spiral, straight, or floating, serve as more than just a means to connect floors; they represent a canvas upon which your unique style can be painted. Discover how the interplay of materials, lighting, and innovative designs can turn an ordinary staircase into a work of art. From minimalist, sleek modern staircases that embrace simplicity to ornate, timeless classics that exude grandeur, we explore a myriad of staircase ideas that cater to diverse tastes and preferences.

Illuminate your ascent and descent with the futuristic glow of LED path lights embedded within your staircase. These luminous beacons, often subtle during the day, come alive as twilight descends, guiding every step with their gentle radiance. Plus, freestanding, colourful under stair storage below with a DIY peg board creates a handy place to kick off coats before heading upstairs. Plus, the spandrel (the triangular space under the stairs) has been incorporated into the kitchen as extra storage. The rejuvenated structure creates the perfect bridge between the history of the property and the it's new purpose to suit a modern family lifestyle. An exposed brick staircase can work wonders when designing for a new home or building an extension.

By tying the balustrade in visually with the internal doors and over-sized mirror, the whole look is pulled together. This stunning steel staircase highlights the double-height void in the centre of this open plan home. It has been painted in the same RAL shade as the windows and divides the more intimate snug – out of shot around the corner – from the modern kitchen and dining area. A key decision to make when looking at a wooden staircase is whether you will carpet the steps or leave the timber on show.

The warm tones of the wood, paired with the gentle creak underfoot, tell tales of generations past and memories forged. Beyond its aesthetic appeal, a skylight window also plays a practical role, reducing the need for artificial lighting and helping in energy conservation. In essence, it bridges the gap between indoor spaces and the vast, ever-changing canvas of the sky above. Beyond the sheer joy of the slide, its inclusion in a staircase design is a testament to the boundless possibilities of interior architecture, where functionality meets pure, unadulterated fun.

Design A Native Plant Garden Easy Starter Tips

native plant garden design

Native plants are a natural choice for resident and migratory birds. Native plants draw moths and beetles that feed insectivorous birds, and the foliage is the feeding ground for caterpillars, a primary food source for many bird species and their nestlings. These designs move away from common foundation plants that tend to be overused, non-native (often invasive such as Japanese barberry), and not connected to our local ecology. Landscapes with more plant diversity are more resilient to changes in the environment and native plants support beneficial insects that provide pollination, food for birds, and natural pest control.

May 4 will feature South County gardens, mostly located in coastal cities and Irvine, she said, and May 5 will feature a variety of gardens around north Orange County. Some private homes and some public gardens, including plant demonstration gardens created by local water districts, make up the tour stops. Plants that are well-suited to your local climate and soil conditions are more likely to thrive and resist common challenges. Researching native plant species that are native to your region can help you select the best plants for your garden and minimize the risk of disease or pest infestations.

Plant list for sunny conditions

As Landscape Designers, we focus on implementing CA native plants that support our local butterflies, birds and bees. By taking inspiration from our local foothills, we create gardens that are welcoming and beautiful. Local garden centers and nurseries are a good place to start. Independent stores may be more likely to offer native plants than big box hardware stores. Call a few in your area before you stop by and ask what they offer. As we mentioned earlier, plants that have a lineage in your local area or climate are the best options for you, the success of the plants, and local wildlife.

Planning your native plant garden

It’s important to vary the heights of vegetation when you create your native plant garden because they are a factor when it comes to providing shelter, nesting and food for wildlife. For example, brown thrashers, Georgia’s state bird, nest on or very near the ground in a shrub, tree, or vine tangle. Forsythia and gooseberry shrubs, honey locust trees, and crossvine are among preferred nesting sites for brown thrashers. If you are in the Sierras(coniferforest) or coastalareas and you want to use a desert or grassland plant, use arock mulch, and plant in the open, away from trees. Also clumpthe same types of plants together so they support each other andyou can treat them alike, see companionplanting.

It has been my experience that this is the most important element in developing a successful native garden. Anytime you stray too far off, the plants don’t flourish and they require more effort. Planting a swamp milkweed on a dry hill or a primrose in a bog will never work.

Showy pincushion-like flowers attract butterflies, moths, and other beneficial insects. Native to much of the U.S., this sturdy carefree shrub makes a good substitute in areas where butterfly bush is invasive. Native plants are endemic to a particular area, occurring there long before human habitation. These plants evolved and adapted to the local climate and growing conditions, becoming an integral part of the ecosystem. Some believe that natives aren’t attractive, which is simply not the case. By including a variety of natives that bloom at different times and have multi-seasonal attributes, you can have a beautiful natural landscape year-round.

native plant garden design

Make a list of species that not only appeal to you visually but also suit your garden's conditions and location in the US. After selecting your native plant species, consider their sunlight and water requirements to ensure they thrive in your garden. Group plants with similar needs together to create ideal growing conditions for each species. If you want to establish a formal native shade garden for your front yard or other area, this  plan can help you. This Front Yard Formal article by Scott Woodbury from the spring 2019 issue of the Missouri Prairie Journal is a companion to this plan, and contains photos of many of the featured plants. Learn more about plants featured in this plan from this audio file from Scott, and learn more about the plants’ growth habits from this audio file from Scott.

Learn more about native plants in your city

As individuals and communities, we can begin reversing this trend by adding native plants to our landscapes and restoring natural biodiversity. Ifyou wish to attempt the landscape design yourself, you can get alist of plants that will grow in your yard from our plantpicker. If you can sketch a drawing of your yard with theplants listed out for each section, we'll be happy to help sortout or correct the plant list. Those of you that have read thewebsite (at least a page or two) and used withat least a clue of how to care for a native garden arereally getting your garden close to 'right' on your own. Dealing with common challenges in native plant gardens, such as invasive species and pests, can be a frustrating but necessary part of maintaining a healthy ecosystem.

Plant thelong-lived plants together away from water, away from soildisturbance. Stick to the plants that occur in the same or a similar climatefor a maintenance free garden. When you get too far off, theplants start having problems and you have to do more work. Back yard – Once more shade is established in the back yard under the swamp white oak, everything else may be planted in this corner. Check out our article, “What is a Native Plant” for more information.

Natives are easier to grow than non-native ornamentals, as they are adapted to that area. Recommended Native Plants of Maryland has photos and details about native plants including many of the plants in the following lists. A range change happens when a species' current range expands, shrinks, or shifts. This phenomenon can occur naturally or with human involvement for native and non-native species. Hence, if a native species naturally expands its range without human intervention, it should not be labeled as non-native, introduced, or invasive.

We are a full-service, experienced landscape design group dedicated to native plants. Since 2013 we have designed hundreds of beautiful, tailored, sustainable gardens in Northern Virginia, D.C. Our gardens are biodiverse, and thoughtfully designed, to meet both our client’s needs and style and the conditions of their site. Although plants are our passion, we also plan and install all elements of a successful garden environment, including trails, walkways, patios and stairs. Native plants have co-evolved with local wildlife over thousands of years, making them integral to the ecosystem.

Pay attention to how much sun the area gets during each season. A good trick to guide plant selection is to observe which plants are thriving nearby. Wild Ones depend on membership fees, donations and gifts from individuals like you to carry out our mission of healing the Earth, one landscape at a time.

'The Deep House' Review: Influencers Try to Escape a Watery Grave

the deep house

Their dive turns into a nightmare when they discover the house was the scene of atrocious crimes. “The Deep House,” which marks their follow up to “Leatherface” [“The Texas Chainsaw Massacre” prequel] revolves around a couple of YouTubers who go diving in a remote French lake and discover a house submerged in deep waters. Their adventure turns into a nightmare when they understand the house harbors atrocious crimes and find themselves trapped with hardly any oxygen left.

Upstate NY DA refuses to stop for speeding, drives back home and calls police chief to complain: video

Upon reaching the lake, the couple is disappointed to see it is a tourist trap. Ben, who has a habit of befriending strangers, finds a man named Pierre, who promises to take them to an unexplored part of the lake. On the way there, Pierre explains how the lake was formed by submerging an abandoned village. Upon arrival, Ben and Tina dive into a seemingly deserted corner of the lake and, as described by Pierre, find a perfectly preserved house.

Ben and Tina are a young engaged New York couple and passionate YouTube contributors who are travelling Europe and seeking out reputedly haunted houses to live-record their experiences. One day, they go to south-west France to seek out a sanatorium submerged in an artificial lake, only to find it a crowded vacation spot. A local, Pierre, offers to take them to an isolated branch of the lake in the forest of Chanteloup, an area which was artificially submerged in 1984 to prevent frequently recurring, devastating floods. The area he is leading them to contains a mansion which he claims has remained perfectly preserved. Finding all the doors and windows barred except for one at the top of the submerged house, the young couple enters and finds themselves surrounded by ominous vintage relics.

The lots are also deeper and longer than many of those on offer on the other beaches, allowing for guest houses, main houses and land in between.

The owners of the house, Mister and Madam Montégnac, were left behind, chained to the cellar, and seemingly continue to haunt the house. While looking at the family photographs of residents of the submerged house, Ben discovers that Pierre is the offspring of the house’s owners. Therefore, Pierre sends the adventurous couple down with the full knowledge that he is sending them into a haunted death trap. The bridge collapse killed six Latin American immigrants who were part of a roadwork crew on break when the cargo ship rammed into it. Only four of their bodies have been recovered from the mess of steel and concrete under the water’s surface. A cargo ship trapped in Baltimore’s harbor for weeks after the Francis Scott Key Memorial Bridge collapsed last month was finally freed Thursday as it became the first vessel to pass the wreckage via a new deep-water channel. This also puts into sinister perspective the prayer he mumbles just before Tina and Ben dive into the lake, as the house turns out to be the site for ritualistic killings. Since the chained bodies in the basement are revealed to be those of the owners of the house, we can infer that they are the bodies of Pierre’s parents.

Ben and Tina try to flee the house, but the window they entered through is suddenly blocked off by a brick wall, and their frantic search for other exits is in vain. What Is Canva? a Guide to the Graphic Design Platform

canvas graphic design

The "free forever" features include more than 250,000 templates, over 100 design types (social media posts, presentations, letters, and more), and hundreds of thousands of photos, font styles, and graphics. You can even upload your own photos and add them to Canva's templates using a drag and drop interface. It's like having a basic version of Photoshop that's free and doesn't require extensive photo editing knowledge to use. Obviously, paying to use Canva Pro will get you even more functionality.

How to create a custom PowerPoint template to use or share with others

If you click the three-dot "More" menu at the top right of your screen, you'll see even more advanced options to change the transparency of the text and where it is positioned on the design. Then you can overtype the pre-loaded text with your own choice of wording. Once you've clicked the text element, you'll also see all your text editing options appear along the top of your screen. The Canva concept came from Perkins, who realized there was a gap in the market for an easy-to-use graphic design platform. As a commerce and communications student at the University of Western Australia, Perkins was frustrated by how complicated and hard to learn mainstream design software was. You can create design content for the special occasions and memorable moments in your life using the free platform too.

How to change the background color of your photos in Photoshop to make your images more striking

Start this process by clicking on the "Elements" menu option to the left of your screen. The next thing we're going to change are the colors on the page, as this works in a similar way. Click on your screen when there is a design element, such as a shape or patch of color, to highlight this element. You will see a blue box appear around the selected element and a small corresponding square of color at the top of your screen. They allow you to change the font type, size, and how the text is aligned, and add effects such as drop shadows and glows.

Canva's extensive suite of features helps your photos pop

You can click to change each element separately, including the background color, this way. As we've already explained, Canva's design process breaks things down into elements. To change the image element, you can click on the template's image and hit the delete key. Now, if you click on the Photos menu on the left, you can see the photography available to you within Canva.

There are plenty of personal graphic design options on the Canva platform, as well. In some cases, you can save money by making your own personalized versions of products you'd normally have to buy. If you click on the small square, you'll see the same color menu appear as for the text color options, allowing you to choose from existing colors in your design, or add in fresh new ones.

Going "Pro" allows you to create a "Brand Kit" to upload your own fonts, brand color palette, and logos to use across the entire Canva platform. You’ll also get access to Canva's impressive "Magic Resize" tool, which, with a couple of clicks, allows you to change a post you've created for Twitter, for example, to a perfectly sized Facebook post. Other templates that professionals from all kinds of industries might find useful are presentations, invoices, business letterheads, logos, proposals, flyers, brochures, newsletters, and flyers, among many, many others.

This opens the template in a new editing window, which has your design on the right of the screen, your editing options in a bar on the left of your screen, and your download and share options to the top right. In addition, there is the choice to create your own Instagram post from scratch using a blank template, but we're going to use one of the pre-made templates. To open a template for editing, simply click on it and then click "Use this template."

Burbank Haunted Adventure

The origins of the haunted house date back to 19th-century London, when a series of illusions and attractions introduced the public to new forms of gruesome entertainment. In 1802, Marie Tussaud scandalized British audiences with an exhibition of wax sculptures of decapitated French figures, including King Louis XVI, Marie Antoinette, Marat and Robespierre. Tussaud's likenesses were remarkably accurate, and with good reason — she created death masks of the French Revolution's many guillotine victims. When she set up a permanent London exhibition, she dubbed her grotesque collection the "Chamber of Horrors" — a name that has stuck to the wax museum to this day. The tradition could not exist without Halloween; Halloween would not be the same without it. At The Haunting Experience, visitors must find their way through the haunted house's winding corridors, which are filled with diabolical sights and sounds, including the remains of an abandoned hospital.

Massachusetts has no shortage of haunted mansions, it seems, and the SK Pierce Victorian is one of the state's eeriest. The original occupant, Sylvestor Pierce, had just started making his fortune in the furniture business when he built this home for himself, his son, and his wife, Susan. As a man about town, he hosted many notable people in his 7,000-square-foot home throughout the years, including President Calvin Coolidge, Bette Davis, and Norman Rockwell. One of William Jr.'s brothers, Charles Lemp, lived in the home from the 1930s until 1949 when he shot his own dog in the basement of the home before dying by suicide in his room.

The driver and passenger each were carrying $5,000 more in their pockets. After hearing Saenz had gone to see his grandmother, Garriola installed a camera on a telephone pole facing her house. The camera piped a live feed to an FBI office for three years. Not once did it catch a glimpse of Saenz, Garriola testified. Scott Garriola, a retired FBI agent who specialized in tracking fugitives, testified he developed a “tree” of Saenz’s friends and family.

She created a labyrinth filled with halls that lead to dead ends, cut-off staircases, sloping floors, and a rabbit warren of chambers. According to an article by ABC News, the house has "10,000 windows, 2,000 doors, 47 fireplaces, 40 staircases, 13 bathrooms, and nine kitchens." The house offers both self-guided tours and special overnight visits. The White House Historical Association claims that President William Henry Harrison (the first president to die in the White House) continues to keep up residence. The spirit of President Andrew Jackson has also been spotted loitering in his former bedroom.

In Salem, The House of the Seven Gables is one of the city's oldest homes, built in 1668 and immortalized by Nathaniel Hawthorne's 1851 novel of the same name. Visitors have claimed to hear a woman's voice, possibly Vanderbilt's wife, Edith, calling his name, and some say they've spotted ghostly apparitions. The mansion also features a number of hidden doors and passageways, adding to its overall spook factor. Franklin Castle is a private residence, so you can't tour it, but some ghost tours pass by the home to tell its spooky story. You can also catch the house on an episode of Travel Channel's "Ghost Adventures." The entity is rumored to have prevented Betsy's marriage to a local boy and is believed to have killed John.

If you are looking to be thoroughly scared, Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Hollywood is one of Los Angeles’s favorite annual haunted experiences. Zombie Joe’s Underground Theatre Group hosts a chilling series of vignettes. Armed with a shoddy flashlight to illuminate their path, guests navigate a labyrinth of terror before enduring a series of shocking scenes (over the course of roughly 35 minutes) that will unsettle even the most stoic of horror fans. If you’re experiencing things you can’t explain, doing research might help clear it up for you.

The heartbroken Mr. Boldt walked away and the castle was abandoned until its 1977 rescue. Strange lights are said to come on in the castle, and some have even seen Mrs. Boldt haunting the home that death robbed from her. (Bonus for salad lovers? Mr. Boldt was the proprietor of New York’s Waldorf Astoria Hotel, where Waldorf salad was invented).

– Wine Direct Shipper Permit

Be careful, though - none of these will ride smoothly over cobblestones. The wheels are too small for that - you will feel those very much, and the only solution for that would be a (much) larger-wheeled stroller. It is on the sturdier side, the fabrics are very pleasant, and the canopy, too.

It is a robust stroller system featuring seat unit combinable with the insert carrycot. The version Style was released in 2016 and comes in streamlined melange fabrics, a leatherette handlebar as well as bumper bar and a double pop-out sun visor. Compared to the original model, the front wheels are larger and equipped with suspension. The reversible seat can be reclined fully, including the leg rest.

The backrest has 4 different settings so it can be adapted to suit the needs of your little one. The Salsa 4 Air folds away to become surprisingly compact and is even easy to fold away with the seat still attached - regardless of whether it is facing forwards or backwards. The carrycots are very spacious, especially for a tandem stroller. You can add two carrycots onto the chassis, but the one at the back will need a heightening adapter.

It can be a challenge to manoeuvre in an out of shops and curbs can be a hassle Although it is spacious the pushchair is also long, which makes it impractical for urban living. The product has some niggles but is nonetheless a solid, well-made design that will be convenient for many parents with two (or more) small children. But since the leg rest can be regulated upwards, it's not that bad. The laying position is not completely flat, but enough for napping. It is easy to push with one hand and is also practical for public transport and if there is no lift I can take my baby out of it in a few seconds and fold it and put it on my shoulder. Bought for travel, not for everyday use, but super useful for a quick shopping or a downtown walk as well. And there's so much space for the baby in both the pram and the pushchair. They now all feature a new, functional design with minimalistic lines and premium melange fabrics.

A licensed importer may obtain distilled spirits only from the holder of an active out-of-state distilled spirits shipper’s certificate. Dr. Eddy Hogg, a University of Kent lecturer who studies volunteering, recommends giving agency to employees in the design of their workplace volunteer program. People who volunteer on their own time likely have a much more personal connection to the cause, he said, whereas an employee group will have varied levels of interest in any given act of service. I am not sure what "single groove" might mean in this case - like just one bar, axle?

You can also choose each carrycot in a different colorway. This tandem stroller is also compatible with one or two car seats or one or two Doozy carrycots that can also be used in the car instead of a Group 0+ car seat. This license is only issued to a licensee who has another type of non-retail distilled spirits license. It only permits the holder to import and export alcoholic beverages, and to transfer the beverages to him/her under another license (BPC § 23374). The ABC Design Ping is an ultra-lightweight, ultra-compact stroller destined for travel, short trips, or as a spare stroller to keep in the car.

For over 30 years we have been driven by the desire to identify and understand the needs of you and your child. We develop our products on the basis of this conviction and responsibility. Thanks to their high quality and safety, their exclusive materials and trendy designs, our products help make your life that little bit easier. The rear seat sits a little bit higher on the chassis so that both children can have a good view. The hood of the carrycot and the seat is quite short, but you can extend it by a first, or a second (unzippable) sun visor.

Can you please advise me which car seats are compatible with ABC design MAMBA stroller (2015) and are available for purchase. The bucket-type seat features bold, contrasting fabrics and is suitable from six months up. The chassis is also compatible with the spacious Cobra/Mamba carrycot. This carrycot features a ventilated hood that can be used as a sun shield. Using adapters, you can add either the ABC Design car seat or one of the other well-known car seat brands.

This stroller system boasts clean lines, a high - 22kg weight capacity of the seat unit while being on the lighter, more compact side. As a Granny to a two year old and 10 month old it can sometimes be difficult to get out and about with them. There are also numerous configuration options meaning you can have the children facing each other, both front, both back, whatever they prefer on the day.

One thing that really irritated me was the handlebar needing to be half an inch higher to allow the rear seat to recline without having to force it down as the hood caught on the underside button every time. As an arthritic Granny, I found this pushchair incredibly easy to set up. It was light under hand, has an intuitive set up, no need to check the instructions, there was no part of it my arthritic hands couldn't manage and it was narrow enough to fit through doors. It had a good variety of colour choice and all covers are washable.
